Hurkacz and Medvedev faced off in a tennis match, in which the first set started off with Hurkacz losing his serve right away. However, the Polish player quickly made up for it, but unfortunately lost the tie-break and allowed the Russian to take the lead. Nevertheless, a turnaround occurred as Hurkacz completely dominated the second set, breaking his opponent’s serve twice and leveling the score. He took a 2-1 lead in sets. The third set saw Hurkacz first breaking his opponent’s serve and then missing numerous opportunities to extend his lead. Medvedev then made a comeback. He lost his first game on serve in the fourth set, but managed to break his opponent twice towards the end, resulting in a score of 7-5 and a chance to secure a victory in the fifth set. This opportunity was seized as Medvedev broke Hurkacz’s serve in the seventh game, concluding the match with a final score of 3-2. (MONDO, N.L.)
