Partizan recently announced that Marko Jovanović has become the new assistant to Igor Duljaju. Jovanović, who was born in Arilje, is a true Partizan supporter and made his debut for the first team back in 2007. He played for the club in two different periods and accumulated almost 100 appearances (from 2007 to 2011, and again in 2016). During his last moments as a player, he wore the jersey of Železničar from Pančevo, playing a total of nine matches. However, due to multiple injury problems, Jovanović decided to retire at the age of 36.

Jovanović, a former Olympic representative of Serbia in football, has also played for Visla, Voždovac, AEL, Borac, Proleter, and several other clubs. Today, he completed his first training session with the Partizan team. As a former captain of Partizan, Jovanović won three consecutive double crowns in the seasons of 2007/2008, 2008/2009, and 2009/2010, as well as the Serbian Cup in 2015/2016.
