Džoel Embid showed once again why he is one of the best players in the world by scoring 70 points in a win against San Antonio. The entire arena stood up and applauded him as he went to the bench towards the end of the game. Greg Popovich and Victor Oladipo watched in awe as Embid put on an incredible performance, and they couldn’t do anything to stop him. Along with his 70 points, Embid had 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Oladipo finished the game with 33 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists, making it an exciting matchup for basketball fans.

The next leading scorers in the game were Darius Bazley (22 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds) and Tyrese Maxey (18 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds). This season, Embid has been averaging 36.1 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game, making him one of the top contenders for the MVP award. However, there is a major problem he faces. Before the start of the season, a rule was implemented that players must have played at least 65 games to be eligible for awards. Embid has already missed 10 games and could potentially miss seven more. With 40 games left in the regular season, Embid needs to be mindful of this number if he wants a chance at the MVP title.

It’s interesting to note that Michael Jordan holds the record for the most points in a game with 69, which he scored against Cleveland in 1990.
