Novak Đoković has learned the name of his opponent in the third round of the Australian Open. It will be Tomas Martin Ečeveri, who easily defeated Gael Monfils (6:4, 6:4, 6:4). It would have been easier against Monfils, who has lost to Đoković 19 times before, but Ečeveri doesn’t have an impressive record either. The Argentinian has played against Novak twice before and has lost both times, with the maximum possible result, in Paris (6:3, 6:2) and in Rome (7:6, 6:2). We will see if Đoković can justify his position as the favorite against Popirin and schedule a match against Ečeveri, which should take place on Friday.
