Crvena zvezda’s “petlici” had a successful tournament in Germany. They emerged victorious against Borussia Monchengladbach with a score of 2:0. However, their most impressive performance came in the semifinals, where they defeated Mainz with an emphatic 6:0 victory. The team, led by Slavisa Susha and Dejan Siljkovic, along with Vladimir Cvjeticanin and Milan Selak, faced Atalanta in the final. Despite a demanding match, they were defeated 3:2. This tournament marked an excellent farewell for coach Slavisa Susha from the 2011 generation, as he will now take charge of the 2010 selection and work with them. Crvena zvezda secured the second place in one of the most prestigious European tournaments for the 2011 age group, with Mainz and Manchester United finishing third and fourth, respectively. A special mention goes to goalkeeper Strahinja Malinovski, who was awarded as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
