Mustafa Jusufspahić on Partizan’s defeat to Virtus
The Belgrade mufti is disappointed by the defeat of the team he passionately supports. “Cheap balls for expensive players, too much for me,” he announced.
Partizan lost in a heated finish after mistakes by Kevin Panther and PJ Dozier, which Virtus players used to turn the game around and dramatically defeat Željko Obradović’s team for the second time this season. “Four ‘small’ players pressing, it’s the easiest thing in the world to bring in the ball, we made mistakes, we didn’t even bring in the ball.
In the last quarter, we lost six balls, and that is the direct reason we lost the game,” Obradović said. After consecutive defeats on the tour in Monaco and Bologna, Partizan fell below the play-in line and is now 11th in the table, with a record of 12-13, while Red Star Meridianbet is below it with a 10-15 record.
Next week, he will support the black and white team against Bayern on Thursday, after which all EuroLeague teams will go on break until March. During this period, cup competitions will be played (the Radivoj Korać Cup in Serbia), as well as national team matches as part of the preparations for the 2025 European Championship.
